Toronto police said the vehicle struck a light standard and the driver was initially trapped.
Police said officers broke the windows to free the driver, who was then removed from the vehicle and taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation and burns.There is no word so far on what caused the collision.
How anyone could have survived this crash is beyond incomprehensible
So the other occupants of the vehicle fled the scene? Leave the driver to burn at the wheel? Seems to me like the vehicle must have been stolen. As for the other occupants....glad to see you cared so much for your 'friend' you left behind to die. SMH

Mandatory truck driver training begins in SaskatchewanStarting today, new commercial truck drivers will have to undergo mandatory training in Saskatchewan where an inexperienced driver blew through a stop sign last April, killing 16 members of a hockey team. This should have been something that has always been a requirement.
