A Toronto city councillor is speaking out against a proposed TTC fare hike that would see riders paying an additional $0.10 on most fares starting in March.

the TTC says, to help pay for service improvements, capital projects, and the hiring of 142 new full-time employees.

“We will see a total of a seven per cent increase over the course of the first two years of having this low-income pass.” “Well the city does and we should look at other ways of funding better service in the city of Toronto and not always expect to go back to the TTC rider and have them fund the improvements.”

Why don’t Mayor & Premiere cut their salary and give this money to Terrible Transit Commission or TTC We don’t want pay any extra penny for so called improving TTC! TTC needs to kick out their inefficient & unprofessional employees to save the budget.

I’m just gonna leave this right here

Worst Transit Corporation...

As for TTC fare hikes, fair evasion isn’t the only problem. PPl in Toronto aren’t as honest as they were 20 years ago. Its population doubled in 20 years. Not the same people any more.

On one hand, the gov wants ppl to use more or public transit and leave cars home, on the other hand, they make public transit more expensive and less convenient. Well... you can’t have the cake and eat it.
