Dr. Bonnie Henry says schools are not to blame for high rates of COVID-19 among B.C. youth

in parts of the province should not be interpreted to suggest those infections occurred mostly in schools.

However, Henry said school-aged children were becoming infected when they were not eligible for a vaccine as transmission was rising in the community, but that most youth had a mild illness and were not hospitalized. “Every single school had an assessment of their ventilation, every single school had measures put in place to ensure that it was improved. And that’s one of the permanent things that we need to continue,” Henry said.

Henry said enhanced cleaning measures are in place, and other steps that everyone should continue taking include washing their hands and staying home when they’re sick, especially as influenza season is expected to start earlier this fall. In contrast, 60 to 70 per cent of adults aged 20 to 59 and about 40 per cent of those aged 60 and over have been infected, says the study, which is based on 14,000 anonymized blood samples obtained between March 2020 and this August from a network of outpatient laboratories.

No one is blaming kids. Kids were put in unsafe situations because Bonnie Henry’s team chose to conduct an experiment to prove incorrect “hybrid immunity” theory. They knew they were lying when they hid data from bcpoli public and repeatedly said Covid doesn’t spread in schools.

oh my God kids don't die of covac thousands die every year of the regular flu but nobody's died since 2019 why

It’s funny that people are upset that 90% of kids in Canada have already had Covid - many more than once. The science said they would be fine, they are fine, time to move on.

I cannot believe this kind of article is allowed as it is such misinformation to justify the huge error in not having mask mandates in our BC schools.

Don't blame schools for high COVID rates among B.C. youth: provincial health officerBritish Columbia's provincial health officer says the findings of a study she co-authored showing children and youth have had the highest rates of COVID-19 in parts of the province should not be interpreted to suggest those infections occurred mostly in schools. Dr. Bonnie Henry has been criticized by some parents, advocacy groups and health-care professionals who say a major jump in infections occurred during the school year among children under age 10. She's treating the public of BC as fools. She always has. This is disgusting. Where else did they get it from? The car or bike ride to and from school? Good grief. FIre her NOW. The study proves her strategy infected kids en-masse. bcpoli At this point she is just an employee of big pharma. There is no other way a sane person who is not a raging narcissist & who believes in logic & science COULD interpret this data. And she knowingly let kids be infected & did nothing about it except studied it. Future lawsuits. Ethics scandal.
