OTTAWA—If you are someone who just loves Canadian Liberal parties, you are probably feeling low at the moment. That’s certainly true if your focus is on the Liberal Party of Canada, as they have been in the polling toilet since early summer of 2023 and unable to find a way out. They just keep swirling around the porcelain.

In an October poll we did in the province, my colleague David Coletto commented, “When asked specifically what is to blame for the rising cost of living, N.L. residents point to multiple factors. But far more believe companies charging more to make profits deserve much of the blame. Decisions by the federal government and Prime Minister Trudeau, global supply chain shortages, and the pandemic are citied as major factors. Only one in five N.L.
