goalie Mackenzie Blackwood was unavailable for Thursday's pre-season contest against the New York Islanders due to an inconclusive COVID-19 test.In a statement, the Devils said Blackwood's subsequent tests were also inconclusive and the team will have more information Sunday.“I have a couple of health concerns and health reasons why I’m working through it a little slower," Blackwood saidwhen asked about his decision to not take the vaccine.
"The Devils do not have any more pre-season games on their schedule and will open the season on Oct. 15 at home against the Chicago Blackhawks.
