SURREY, B.C. — Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer unveiled a $6-billion tax cut Sunday in his first campaign swing through British Columbia.
Scheer delivered the promise in a carefully crafted scene in Gretchen and Reed’s living room — the couple didn’t want their last name used — with perfectly placed cups of coffee, a plate of oatmeal cookies and a printout of a tax form on the coffee table in front of them. People are working harder than ever but many are barely getting by or even falling further behind. They're definitely not getting ahead
The parliamentary budget office estimates the cut will cost the treasury $6 billion a year if fully implemented, though Scheer said forgoing that revenue would still allow him to balance the federal budget in five years.Scheer said his platform will be fully costed and will include a commitment to increase funding for health care and education by at least three per cent a year.
The comments are being unearthed by the Liberals, often released to coincide with appearances Scheer makes with them. Scheer said the dirt is flying because the Liberals are trying to distract from their own record.
And they’ll pay for it by destroying public healthcare and education so severely people will have to pay 20% more than that tax break just to maintain a comparable quality of life.
No help to Canadians. Once again loser Scheer is a failure and not fit to be Prime Minister.

Yup, along with a multitude of other cuts of programs that make life a lot easier for folks at the lower end of the income scale, programs that provide supports for the most vulnerable among us.

Cutting '2% on the lowest tax rate' is like statistical anomaly - its like phasing out the penny & promising to round up/down on nickels but pricing everything to end in an eight or above (like $1.98, $3.48, $129.98) then charging customers a nickel for a plastic bag to boot.
