Not to be a Debbie Downer but Canada will be without some iconic snacks for the foreseeable future after Little Debbie was forced to pull its sweet treats from store shelves across the country.

Little Debbie product-maker McKee Foods Corp. confirmed to CTV News its corner store staples, to the likes of Swiss Rolls and Honey Buns, will no longer be distributed in Canada.

Furthermore, the spokesperson said the company isn't "actively searching for a new distributor relationship in the Canada market." The news of Little Debbie's disappearance comes just after snack-maker General Mills confirmed Bugles have been discontinued in Canada.said on social media

Aren't they the 'food' that keeps on a shelf forever?

I’ve never heard of Little Debbie’s products, and I’ve lived in all of Canada’s provinces. Are they any good?

44% of sugar. I am not surprised that obesity is normal for many kids. Parents should think twice before buying this gb.

no loss its an american company we should support Canadian products anyways

oof I'll miss my Swiss Rolls 😓

One word: Vachon. 😍

'This was not our decision,' a McKee Foods spokesperson said in an email Wednesday. 'The sole distributor in Canada chose to terminate their business relationship with our brands for reasons that are entirely their own” I’m waiting for the weird “this is Trudeau’s fault” take.

Amazon get anything you want

Who eats this anyway?

Somehow this downer makes me want to see Cocaine Bear even more than I already did.

It's fu☆king garbage anyway. Should not ever be allowed. As with so much other so called 'food'. No wonder our society is in the toilet when are trash like this is allowed to take up shelf space.

Having them swiss rolls at lunch time in middle school... mmmm best part of lunch.

CTV news, with another laughable excuse for what currently passes for journalism. Essentially a propaganda outlet for Trudeau’s liberals. 🤮

Good riddance, this is toxic junk food causing all kinds of health problems

Don't maker it kills you!!

Or you can buy Canadian made Vachon products they have been around for 100 years

Wow! Breaking news!! This is absolutely incredible journalism. Your reporting is always above and beyond. Be proud.

CTV_Liveat5 Terrible food. Nothing but sugar and preservatives. See ya.

Better for Canadians. Ultra processed garbage and ultra refined sugar 🤢

Isn’t weed legal there? Ya’ll got poor peoples? This garbage kept me alive in my twenties. 35 cents for a single snack with 1,000 sugary calories 🤣 I still eat them occasionally for nostalgia mostly.

Mythical, GiantDebra hear our call, bring them back!

WHAT!?!

Time for a Canadian product :)

I love Swiss rolls 😋

Good, all terrible for you.

Good!!

Hahahahahah

Tragic.. hardcore journalism at its finest right here. I'm sure Canadians can find alternate cancer causing, poisonous foods produced right here at home.

I’ve never had one

Debbie has gone down for the last time….

Food distribution companies have become the new mafia since the pandemic holding grocers and customers hostage while they gouge for profit.

So first we lose Bugels and now this?

I always thought they were far right...or alt right...or populist...or racist........or something. Never mind.

Processed garbage…The south can keep it!

Don’t worry we have lots of other things poisoning people

CTV_Liveat5 Good.

For why?

That's a downer for us & maybe Debbie Downer...the world's coming to end...Oh...wait a minute...i can still get Joe Louiss' & twinkis...nevermind....i'm good. ;)

Low quality processed food

Lol.

Welch grape juice, where has that gone?

🙄

Big Debbie - your move

Good. That’s cancer in a box. Horrible you can’t even call that food.

This extremely processed very poor nutrition won’t be missed by me

what?

Meanwhile with the rest of Canada - Justin Trudeau lied under oath at the EA enquiry - Food Banks overwhelmed - Inflation is skyrocketing prices including Gas and Oil - Decades old Healthcare continues to be neglected by Federal and Provincial govt's - Recession anyway

our diets are better off for this loss.

Interesting...

Probably a good thing I will no longer be able to sadly eat an entire box of oat meal cream pies in one sitting.

Jos Loius is a million times better anyway (yes, I enjoy the very occasional “half moon”)

Oh no less shitty processed foods for kids to clamor over

It was replaced with Moderna.

I loved the brownies. I’m sad
