The original deadline was Aug. 31, but the Progressive Conservative government allowed an extension to Nov. 30 if requested and the minister agreed.Considering that four weeks of testimony only ended on July 7 and that there was an information panel on July 28 about public-private partnerships, it’s no surprise that the commission needs extra time to finish the report, especially since the report must be delivered in both English and French.
According to the cabinet order that created the inquiry commission, the transportation minister will make the final report public “as soon as practicable after receiving it.”
