The Coyotes have officially named Bill Armstrong as the team’s next general manager.

that Armstrong would sign a five-year contract with the Coyotes that will pay him more than $1 million a season.

Arsmtrong has been with the Blues since being hired as an amateur scout in 2004 after his playing career ended in 1999 and in 2010 he was promoted to director of amateur scouting. He added assistant general manager to his title in 2018. “We are thrilled to name Bill as our new GM,” Coyotes owner Alex Meruelo said in a statement. “Bill is smart, honest and hard-working and he knows how to build a winning team. He brings the right mix of hockey knowledge, business acumen and leadership qualities that we need in order to achieve our goal of bringing a Stanley Cup to Arizona.”

The Coyotes GM job opened up when the team parted John Chayka in July shortly before the NHL resumed play. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman is still expected to make a ruling on some of the contract legalities involved in the split. The Blues announced that Tony Feltrin, who joined the amateur scouting department in 2015, will lead the team’s preparation for October’s NHL Draft.

O’Toole’s ‘Lack Of Courage’ Against Bill 21 Frustrates Muslim And Sikh Groups'We feel this is an existential threat to human rights in Canada.' To me, it’s all courage from Mr. erinotoole Quebecers made the choice to have a secular people in position of authority. It’s over, live with it. Wear your religious symbols when you leave office and school and the court and the police. There, no one cares. Have any Christian or Jewish groups complained? Because this involves them as well. Also please tell Mr. Farooq that hijabs are not religious symbols & perhaps overt religious symbols offend some people or make them feel excluded? Right or wrong this is best left to the courts Freedom of religion should not extend in the workplace. If the job does not fit or accomodate your personal beliefs, move on and don't whine that you are being marginalized. That is freedom of choice.
