On Monday, the B.C. Ministry of Health did not release data on COVID-19 deaths over the past few days, deciding instead to release that information on Thursday.
This is the first time the ministry has withheld this information and gave no reason why. As of last Thursday, 3,002 people in B.C. had died from causes related to COVID-19. The number of people in hospital either because of COVID-19 or with the disease grew 17 per cent over the past three days to 321.
