The new fees mean the costs of running and enforcing the program is now covered by those who benefit from it.

Wong is now working with residents and the Calgary Parking Authority on potential options, which include removing RPP zones or changing them to time-permitted parking zones.Gavin Young/Postmedia “We put those options out there and they’re starting now to catch traction with communities,” said Wong. “The parking authority is trying to work through each individual community.”
