OTTAWA – Conservative MP Mark Warawa, 69, has died after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, his family has confirmed in a statement.
The House of Common suspended its sitting Thursday morning, and a framed photograph of Warawa was placed on his desk, alongside white flowers. “I encourage each of us to make sure that we’re taking time to take care of ourselves and spend time with our family because when you're gone, you're gone, and it's over,” he said. “So, make sure that's a priority in your life."
May he rest in peace.
