Cole Eiserman passes Cole Caufield for all-time USNTDP goal-scoring record

USA Hockey forward and 2024 top prospect Cole Eiserman has set the all-time United States National Team Development Program goal record with 127 goals.Eiserman notched the record-setting goal against Canada during Sunday’s gold medal game.

Cole Eiserman has made it 2-1 with his 127th career goal with the USNTDP – that's an all-time record now.Only three players in the program’s history – Eiserman at 127, Caufield at 126, and Phil Kessel at 104 – have surpassed the 100-goal mark. The NHL’s leading goal scorer this season, Auston Matthews, had just 79 in his career. The difference between those players and Eiserman is he has done it in essentially 10-less games.

Eiserman tallied a whopping 58 goals and 29 assists for 83 points in 52 games and an even more lopsided point threshold in the USHL, where he has scored a couple of hat tricks this year with 25 goals. Eiserman represented the USA at the 2023 Under-18 Men’s World Championship, where he scored a tournament-leading nine goals. While at the Under-17 Men’s Championship, he tallied a leading 12 goals and 20 points in just seven games.. “This time, he’s riding a goal-per-game run with the USNTDP, with many expecting him to score double-digit goals at this event,” Ellis said.

The 17-year-old is set to join Boston University next season to kick off his NCAA campaign. Eiserman is one of the top prospects in the draft this year, with Ellis saying that the winger has the best shot of anyone in this draft class.
