Cochrane mom Jacqueline O\u0027Driscoll has signed a statement agreeing she was in contempt of court in the abduction of her girls.

Jacqueline O’Driscoll and her father, Michael O’Driscoll, appeared in a Cochrane courtroom on Thursday where it was noted she has agreed she was in contempt of court in the girls’ disappearance more than two years ago.Crown prosecutor Lori Chambers told Justice Barry Nordin that O’Driscoll has signed a statement of agreed facts admitting her contempt.

Chambers said that document will now be supplied to O’Driscoll’s ex-husband, Colin Zak, so he can take it to Calgary Court of King’s Bench for her to be found in civil contempt. Chambers also asked that Michael O’Driscoll’s abduction charge be adjourned to Aug. 3, in Calgary, where his wife, Therese, the girls’ grandmother, is to face a sentencing hearing on the same charge.Sign up to receive daily headline news from the Calgary SUN, a division of Postmedia Network Inc.By clicking on the sign up button you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc.
