Canada Headlines News

There is rising concern that Canada’s renewed COVID-19 restrictions on flights from China could fuel anti-Asian hate, as hate crimes against Asian-Canadians have been on the rise since the start of the pandemic.

Well this is BS, because Canada is just trying to protect Its’ citizens.. It is nothing else.. China has stated they have a huge upswing in Covid, so we are trying to keep keep it from coming back here..

This is all a petty way for Canada to get back at China for Xi’s chiding JT over media leaks lol People here talking about facts and science, then tell me, did some scientific study concludes that there are new variants or variants in China are more deadly that those here?

Tryna do it again?

Feelings are hurt boohoo lol who cares

No there isnt! If we are to follow science shouldn't we follow logic ?

Déjà vu... rewind 3 years ago. Playbook

There will probably be more hate if a bunch of people from the flights flood the hospitals here and doctors have to make the decision of who to help and what surgeries to delay for their citizens.

I dont think it’s a requirement for “Chinese” people its for “Anyone” who is travelling from China regardless of their colour, age and religion. How could it be racist ?

?

Jesus Christ! So give them a hug before we say stay out or go home.

So if one county happen to have an explosion in COVID cases, we cannot put restrictions to help prevent cases from spreading in Canada ? Because that will be hate? That is the purest BS argument. People need to stop being so politically correct! It’s pathetic.

Best to just make anyone whose flying take a test . Not just from one country .

No sense!! This should be applied to any country that has too many cases...we can't trust this communists that they report as it is

Do stories like this really help?

And now the whining begins

Of course it will. Canada thanks to Trudeau, is in a spot with China and so why not fuel a racial argument to heat things up. Trudeau will destroy us.

Why plant that seed. Assume Canadians are kinder and smarter than that instead.

City fake news didn't care about all the hate they produced against people who didn't want to take vaccines, or lose their job for refusing, or not be able to fly, or be locked in their homes. City fake news is trash, they should be investigated.

Facts over feelings There is no other acceptable answer.

Must be a slow news day. Ban all flights from China.

Lol - as a poc we know this isn’t about race

Jesus Christ l, this bullshit again.

Politically driven decision of Trudeau 1) foreign buyer ban ( aka Chinese ) 2) Chinese travel ban !

Made up lies as always

That’s BS! We need to protect the public instead of worrying what China may think! Hate is a crime in Canada, and who ever attacks an Asian person because of what the Chinese government is doing should be charged accordingly!

Anyone who is on a plane from China, regardless of race, must adhere to the TEMPORARY testing guidelines. This isn't about race at all.

I'm pretty sure it's says FLIGHTS from China not Chinese people only.

So stop all restrictions let the diseases in and do their thing, that way no one will get their feelings hurt, survival of the fittest. That might please the snow flakes for 5 minutes or so. 🤣

'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.' Einstein

Well it is a racist ban. We all know how badly the western countries handled covid and love to deflect from their own failings.

CityNewsImproper use of time & money taking firearms from people gov't approved to own firearms in the first place, & will allow to own other firearms. Pure political pandering meant to appease naive voters & distract from gov't failure on crime, cost of living, healthcare & housing. Why don’t you answer emails and return phone calls? Instead of wasting tax payers money? marcomendicino What a waste of time and money. Legal gun owners aren't the problem in Canada. Anyone supporting this gun ban clearly has no clue on reality and shouldn't be allowed to dictate policy in any way.
