Christina Black’s Dartmouth Curling Club captured their second straight Nova Scotia Scotties curling championship. Hilliard, third Taylor Clarke, second Mackenzie Feindel and lead Heather MacPhee had two losses and would have to beat Black two more times to claim the title. “Earlier in the day we gave away some early chances at multiple points, so we knew we had to capitalize on any chances we got and we were able to do that.”

With the provincial championship secured, they advance to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Kamloops, B.C., Feb. 17-26.
