As vast and diverse as Canada is, much more unites us than divides us

There seems to be less local discrepancy as well, compared to some of our peer nations. Ontario’s least-vaccinated public-health unit is 72-per-cent fully vaxxed. Even outside of Calgary and Edmonton, 64 per cent of Albertans are fully vaxxed. There are areas of central London where less than 40 per cent of the population is fully vaxxed. Toronto and Montreal’s least-vaccinated neighbourhoods are at 66 per cent.

Basically, as always, what I see is the loudest and most prolific of the displeased sucking up the media oxygen, while the rest are just desperate to get back to everyday life on a cautiously quick timeline. The median Albertan is clearly more of a risk-taker than the median Ontarian, and it drives a lot of Ontarians nuts — but by global standards, and certainly American standards, the median Albertan is far from reckless.

Statistics show that Americans travel far more internally, and much less internationally, than Canadians, and that’s understandable. Not only is there much more to see and do in a country of 330 million than in one of 37 million, a competitive airline market makes it far more affordable. It’s often cheaper to fly from Toronto to Europe than it is to Vancouver.

Mr. Selley, I don't give a damn about 'division'. I care about selfish, stupid people (unvaxxed) and that they are murdering Canadians.
