This comes as no surprise. On all manner of important files, Canadian governments are essentially flying blind for want of data. You can see the attraction for politicians: If data shows your strategy isn’t working, suddenly you’ve got a dozen reporters barking questions at you. Greed dominates real-estate and this greed factor is instilled in Politicians,friends/buddies,family members. Homelessness is a complex problem, many have mental health concerns. Governments at all levels proven to be incompetent in developing a workable solution.

War on poverty , war on drugs , war on whatever just a black hole to endlessly throw money into to achieve zero results because nothing is based on performance just feelings.

Indeed they are considering housing is a provincial matter.

Here’s a nice stat Spending $8 billion/year and Canada has 35,000 homeless people on any given night = $230,000 spent per homeless person per year or $19,000 per month I’d like to know how it’s spent.

Most useless government we have ever had.

78.5 billion ? I would like to know how many immigrants end up homeless and need affordable housing? As a tax payer I am tired of paying 10s of thousands of dollars in taxes. We work hard for our money and go without in order to pay our taxes and service we don't benefit from.
