THUNDER BAY – The Friends of Chippewa Park kicked off the 2023 Summer in the Park concert series on Sunday with a performance by Tommy Milestone Horricks.
Linda Lafonatine, board member, the Friends of Chippewa Park, said that she was very pleased with the turnout despite Sunday’s show being the first of the year. “And even though they know every, every year we have Sunday in the parks, you know, still people, that's the younger people don't quite know what we're doing here.”
Friends of Chippewa Park President, Lorraine Lortie, said in a release that without the city’s ongoing sponsorship, the Friends of Chippewa Park would not be able to operate the concert series.
