Conservative Senator Leo Housakos recently announced he and Senator Thanh Hai Ngo will table a motion calling on the Liberal government to sanction Chinese officials under the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act, also known as the Magnitsky Act. He said "very firm countermeasures" would result. "It's not in the interest of Canada's side," he added. "We do hope they will stop this kind of dangerous activity."
The Chinese government is conducting "preventative counter-terrorism measures" that are providing security to the country, he said. "Since the past three years no single violent terrorist incident," he said. Cong rejected the reports outright and said "the facts speak for themselves." More than 2.4 million tourists visited Xinjiang last year, he said. "And they enjoyed that very much."

Let’s get this straight. Unelected CPC_HQ senators are advocating sanctions against China that will be reciprocated with more pork, soy, and canola sanctions that will choke the Alberta and Saskatchewan economies a little more. Conservatives really aren’t very bright.
Cancel FIPA, the one sided trade agreement Harper CPC_HQ signed with China.
Sanctions will do very little to China, just put Meng in a regular women’s prison, they have the two Michaels in poor conditions in regular prisons.
Diplomatic inmunity revoked, end of story.
The ambassador is trying to gain brownie points from his superiors back home. China will soon need more then ever the free worlds food supply, (environment/green belt decline). So diplomacy will be paramount and the communist party rhetoric will have to be stifled.
We will do best what upholds our moral obligation as a country and not be bullied by China.
POS
Trudeau jumped to his feet and promptly replied, 'Yes SIR!'
