Mounties say when the teen began walking, a bystander helped by giving him some clothing and a ride home, where his parents called police.
Investigators were provided with a video that police say was shared on social media, in which a number of people can be heard in the background laughing and jeering at the victim. The 16-year-old suspect was arrested Saturday after being involved in an unrelated car accident, where police say he allegedly threatened the other driver with a metal baton.
The teen has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and robbery over the attack on the teen and uttering threats and possession of a weapon after the crash.Article content
