While China is the 2nd largest trading partner of Canada, the value is less than 15% of total trade. More importantly, China is the modern day Nazi Germany, one simply cannot bet its livelihood on it!
70% of Canadian trade is with the USA. Unless you close the border and stop trading with anyone, Canada’s economy and jobs are dependent on the USA, period.
