It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of David Jack Kenehan. June 8, 1951 – August 31, 2023. Survived by his spouse and companion Irene, children Dawn Kenehan, Craig Kenehan, and Paula Smith (Matt Meadows).

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of David Jack Kenehan. June 8, 1951 – August 31, 2023.

Survived by his spouse and companion Irene, children Dawn Kenehan, Craig Kenehan, and Paula Smith . Grandchildren Paige, Clorissa, and Donny. He will be greatly missed by his great granddaughters Briar-Rose and Marie. He was eager to meet his great grandson Larkin David who will carry his name. Dave was a hard-working man, and a single father to Dawn and Craig.

He was instrumental in creating the first health and safety act and helped many families in his role as president of local steel workers union in Elliot Lake where he worked at Denison Mines in the 70’s and 80’s. He was a millwright by trade and a hard worker. He will be remembered for his strength and his shenanigans. He loved to laugh and joke. Always there with a helping hand and a smile. He will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Golden Age Club, Markstay with the interment service at the Pinehill Cemetery, Markstay at 3 p.m. and the celebration of life will continue at the Golden Age Club following interment service. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
