A Cardinals staff member and two players have received positive tests in the past two days.
“Out of an abundance of caution, and to ensure that all infected Cardinal players and staff members have been identified, the games between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 8 and Sunday, Aug. 9 have been postponed,” MLB said in a statement. Postive COVID-19 tests have stunted the Cardinals’ season thus far, as St. Louis has played only five games — and none since July 29.
