On Tuesday, Lefebvre announced he was leaving the CAQ caucus but would continue to represent the riding of Arthabaska, northeast of Montreal, as an Independent. Quebec Premier François Legault wrote on the X platform that he asked Lefebvre to withdraw from caucus.
