Cape Breton wanted on multi-provincial warrant arrested

Celebrating Wild Caraway: Taste of Nova Scotia's Restaurant of the Year | SaltWireSYDNEY, N.S. — An Eskasoni man who was the subject of a five-year search by law enforcement officials has been arrested.

According to a press release issued Wednesday morning by Nova Scotia RCMP, Charles Blaize Young, 31, who was wanted on a multi-provincial arrest warrant, has been arrested. In a previous press release issued by RCMP on Oct. 26, 2023, the first public interest warrant for Young’s arrest was issued in Sydney in June 2018 while a second was issued in February 2019 on a charge of breaching a court order.Police learned in 2022 that Young was believed to be residing in Alberta and the arrest warrant has since been extended to that province.In the most recent press release, the RCMP thanked the public for sharing the search for Young on social media channels.
