in Sydney, Nova Scotia, became one of the first indoor theatre companies in Canada to resume live shows on Monday night.
A few months into the pandemic, with no operating grants to keep The HAT going, Colford hatched a plan to save the theatre company they returned home from Toronto to help establish just six years ago. After just six weeks of fundraising, Colford has already reached 83 per cent of that fundraising goal – which, if successful, will cover $600,000 of the $1.2 million dollar annual budget of the semi-professional company that produces 12 shows a years.
