In the game\u002Dday skate Friday, the legendary Henrik and Daniel Sedin were out early to lend their Hockey Hall of Fame wisdom

Last season, Wouters was moved up and down the Abbotsford lineup as a versatile centre who addressed various needs for the American Hockey League club. He played the fourth line to aid the penalty kill and moved up to win faceoffs on the power play. On Friday, he moved into position in the circle and there was Henrik Sedin.

Focht had 10 points in 41 games last season. The 6-foot, 180 pound pivot had 32 goals and 56 points in his final year of junior with the Calgary Hitmen in 2019-20, but has struggled to make the pro transition. He’s not the first and he won’t be the last, but his three-year, US$2.65 million contract expires after this season.

“We’ve talked until we’re blue in the face and it’s something that can take to 27 or 28 to figure out. He understands how he has to play.”Article contentThe Canucks might be a little late to the pooch party — several NHL clubs have dogs in their domains to serve in various respects — but the locals have partnered for a good cause to raise a service dog. Of course, the name game has already started.
