.CanadiensMTL forward Jake Evans has left Wednesday’s game against the penguins and will not return.

It is not yet known if Evans is being held out due to injury or for precautionary reasons.

Oh boy, Jake Evans is down and out. His first playoff game and it looked like he was out cold. You'll recall that his first rookie camp game two years ago saw him knocked out.During the second period, Penguins forward Brandon Tanev followed through on a hit on Evans, knocking him into the glass. No penalty was given on the play.

Evans was slow to get up and needed to be helped to the dressing room by Canadiens medical staff. Video of him leaving the ice appeared to show him bleeding, with a cloth pressed to his face. The 24-year-old was making his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut with Montreal. He appeared in 13 regular season games for the Canadiens, scoring twice and adding one assist.
