The Canadiens have clinched the final playoff spot in the North Division after an overtime loss to the Oilers.

Montreal punched its ticket to the post-season despite a 4-3 overtime loss to theon Monday. The Canadiens needed a single point from the game to guarantee their spot in the tournament.

With the result, the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks have been eliminated from playoff contention and all 16 playoff teams have been set.
