A poll shows 62 per cent would back Ottawa if it joined the United States in imposing economic sanctions against Chinese officials responsible for the brutal treatment of Uyghurs

Fujie Electronics Accessory Co., Ltd. Chinese authorities have loaded large numbers of Uyghur workers onto trains bound for factories thousands of kilometres away from their homes.A strong majority of Canadians both approve of Parliament’s declaration that China is carrying out genocide against its Uyghur Muslim minority and favour a harder line toward the country, including economic sanctions and moving the 2022 Winter Olympics out of Beijing.

The poll shows 70 per cent of Canadians support or somewhat support a push by human rights advocates to relocate next year’s winter Olympic games out of Beijing due to human rights violations against Uyghurs. The U.S. has imposed Magnitsky-style human-rights sanctions on top Chinese officials over what is taking place in the Xinjiang region. This includes freezing assets and prohibiting targeted officials from conducting financial transactions.

A United Nations human-rights panel has estimated that as many as one million Uyghurs have been held in detention centres – what China has called vocational training centres – and reports have emerged about Beijing’s efforts to slash this ethnic minority’s birth rate through mass sterilization, forced abortions and mandatory birth control.

I am just wondering why do you put a picture of a factory of electronic accessories to this news?

We have to be careful as when we inappropriately accuse Chinese of genocide we will similarly be accused of genocide of the First Nations people being equally inappropriate. Accusations accomplish nothing but increasing aggression, violence and, historically, war and death......

One word. Palistinians Hipocracy

Holding water for Conservatives again ? At least try to cover it a bit more- you agenda is pathetically obvious

As long as my business with China gets better as a result, I am all for it.

Right...... unconsciously behind their brain they’re lowkey also mad at them for Corona

China should cooperate with Canada in planning the reserves, setting up Residential Schools, and creating special laws like 'Indian Act' to protect the Uighurs.

I have reiterated many times China has been so much more backward than Canada in treating the Uighurs that on all aspects, China should learn from the Canadian experience of treating the indigenous peoples for centuries.

Then this proves Canadians are malleable to propaganda. It's obvious this is a charade

But but Trudeau has MASSIVE FUNDRAISERS with Chinese BILLIONAIRES...Trudeau can’t be tough on China...think of poor Justin..
