Canadians and their government need to do whatever it takes in COVID-19 fight GlobePolitics

Some businesses are helping by closing their doors voluntarily, even as governments struggle to keep up.The federal Liberals completely contradicted their own message, Sunday, as reporters and cabinet ministers crowded together in an embarrassingly unsafe scrum, where, Justice Minister David Lametti and Tourism Minister Mélanie Joly failed utterly to explain why the federal government was not warning people who arrived at airports about the need to self-isolate.

On Monday, the Liberal government closed the border completely to foreigners, other than U.S. citizens. That’s a huge hole, because so many Americans cross the border into Canada every day, and also because the U.S. federal government doesn’t appear to be nearly as on top of the situation as other governments.

Torontonians are aware of what is being asked of society amid COVID-19; social distancing, working from home, even removing themselves from environments like gyms that are still open to the public but are potential hotspots for the spread of the virus.

globepolitics There’s a couple of useless c.....s

globepolitics Two weeks too late...

globepolitics Unfortunately for Canadians they didn’t do things soon enough.

globepolitics I guess that means Canadians need to do whatever it takes. Because the Liberal Government is and has not done squat. Provincial Government have to go to Airports to advise passengers what to do. Advanced Screening = two questions instead of one, on a virus infested screen.

globepolitics Canada could be the country that people point to for doing it the best way. Serious Restrictions w quick response & financial aid where needed. Hoping the U.S. cross border travellers stay home. 🇨🇦 numbers are thankfully on the low end comparably. Praying it stays that way 🙏

lindaws globepolitics The citizens now have more power to turn this around than any government. Canadians-Follow the Public Health Recommendations!!

globepolitics Right now, the medicine feels like it's killing us, not the disease.

globepolitics This china country needs to be held accountable

globepolitics The Trudeau 'Liberals' have failed miserably so it's up to Canadians to look after themselves and each other.

globepolitics Still waiting to see what JustinTrudeau is doing?

globepolitics It's a little late for that now.

globepolitics Whatever it takes, eh.

O'Toole calls for 'war footing,' MacKay suggests tax changes to address COVID-19Conservative leadership candidate Erin O'Toole called Monday for the country to be placed on 'war footing' to combat the spread of COVID-19, the latest escalation of rhetoric in the race now thrown into flux by the rapidly evolving crisis. These clowns are flight for air time and no one is listening. Okay, we've heard from Larry and Moe, but what does Curly say? O'Toole - no, we don't need you doing a Churchill impression. McKay - maybe one day, you'll figure out how long it takes for money from tax changes to actually reach the individual; in the meantime, no rent, no food. So he wants to shoot people? Of course not but it`s the only rhetoric he knows, confrontational.
