Canadian Olympic athletes have weighed in on the ongoing controversy stemming from Kaillie Humphries harassment claim and subsequent lawsuit against Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton.

TORONTO -- Canadian bobsleigh athlete and Olympic gold-medalist Justin Kripps spoke in support of athletic governing body Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton , as fellow two-time Olympic champion Kaillie Humphries is currently suing the organization to release her so she can compete for the United States.

“Our team culture is really good, we compete and train in a positive, safe environment. That's my opinion and that's the opinion of most of the World Cup athletes that I've talked to,” said Kripps to CTV News' Alberta bureau chief Janet Dirks. Chan hopes what is happening will motivate Canadian sports bodies to continue to strive for the right training environment.

Why not give her the release? It is obvious that after filing a complaint she is going nowhere with the current coach.

I’d like to hear from another female Olympic athlete on this

I guess the USA pays more . Athletics seems to be about the money than national pride anymore .

Did Patrick Chan travel with her personally, or did they just happen to be on the same team. Seems to me that skaters and bob sleders just might travel in different circles.
