Canada’s Industry Minister and Agriculture Minister are scheduled to make an announcement on ‘moving toward the net-zero emission economy’ on Monday

Canada will announce a multimillion dollar investment on Monday to make the Jansen potash mine run by the globe’s largest listed miner, BHP Group, “the cleanest and most sustainable in the world,” a government source said on Sunday.

The source declined to say the exact amount of the federal investment in BHP’s Jansen mine, which is located about 150 km east of Saskatoon. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government has been investing heavily in clean energy projects, including plants for producing electric vehicle batteries and battery materials, after it set a goal to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Prices of potash, a key input used in nitrogen fertilizers, have soared since Western sanctions were imposed against Russia.

This government is the worst steward of public funds in the history of the country.

If Canadian Taxpayers are gonna be on the hook all the engineering, fabrication and construction jobs better be in Canada.

at the cost of which other federal program getting cut? or taxes going up to fund this? or you are borrowing more? can journalists start grilling the Frig out of politicians. getting sick of them 'announcing millions' without providing background on how its going to be funded

More borrowed billions! Can’t wait to pay off JTs tab when he gets punted.

Canada's unrealistic environmental commitment is killing the country.

More corporate welfare. Especially egregious because it goes to a foreign company. They won't say how much - just millions. The money is going to buy electric vehicles and the like. Net zero is going cost a boodle and hurt the average Cdn in the pocketbook TrudeauTheTyrant

Bernier PPC's position is clear: 'It's immoral, unconstitutional, and illegal. We should not force people to get vaccinated. We believe in freedom of choice, everyone should be free to decide if they want the vaccine, with their informed consent'.
