With this government in place, it means one thing: spending. It's all they know.
It what means for the future?
I don’t know if I believe any of these assumptions like most Canadians I don’t believe left or right. Same branch
It means more LibNDP spending, duh
Almost half a trillion dollars added to the national debt over the last two years, but FP thinks we can ignore that. What a fluff piece to cover for Liberal incompetence, really shameful.
Shrinking deficit is a good news story? Canada is still running deficits. The Canadian debt is still growing. Interest rates are going up so it will be more expensive carry this debt. Where is the good news story?
Well the overall debt this country is now carrying is almost impossible to add up? You could tax the air that we breathe and we will never cover it?..should say add more taxes on the air that we breathe..
The deficits are shrinking but this year is still set to be more than double the record high set pre Covid. Considering the total government debt has more than doubled since 2015 and servicing the minimum debt payment has become our 1 expense we shouldn’t be celebrating deficits
4.5 billion dollar surplus in 2027 isn't nearly enough given that it will take nearly a decade to pay back one years deficit? Florida just posted a 20 billion dollar surplus in 22'. Put that into perspective or have fun living in a second world country
LOL The strong tax revenue growth led to a lower deficit supported by high inflation…well holy cow that’s just what we all needed.
It’s a government projection. It isn’t necessarily what will happen. Taxing stock buybacks will raise 2B a year. Money goes in the budget. Companies don’t do the buybacks then. 2B more in the hole.
Trust not government accounting methods, they operated in a fictional world.
Canada’s deficit is going down because of the taxes and royalties generated by the oil and gas sectors, the very sectors this gov is trying to destroy
with these people in charge to 2025 i really dont think that will happen
