Happy New Year, Canada! 🇨🇦🎉

Projected first-overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, Alexis Lafreniere, joined his teammates for practice Wednesday for the first time since hurting his left knee after an awkward fall in the squad’s 6-0 defeat to Russia last Saturday.

The 18-year-old from Saint-Eustache, Que., missed his second straight game as Canada cruised past the Czech Republic 7-2 on Tuesday and clinched first in Group B.

Snakebite350 This is good news. Hope the kid is 100%. Hate to see injuries to any player, but knee issues for a sure superstar at 18 would be rough.

Happy New Year!! Thank God from a Sens fan GoSensGo

Glad he’s okay and nice to see him back on the ice!

Cheers to blessed safe healthy joyous New Year 🥳🎉
