Divers Meaghan Benfeito and Caeli McKay just missed the podium in the 10-metre synchronized event at Tokyo2020, finishing fourth.

Competing their first Olympics together, the duo finished with a score of 299.16 to finish fourth, 0.54 points off Mexico who claimed the bronze medal. China won gold with 363.78 points while the Americans snagged silver with a score of 310.80.

Also on Tuesday, Toronto's Penny Oleksiak and Sydney Pickrem of Clearwater, Fla., qualified for the 200-metre freestyle and 200-metre individual medley finals, respectively. Elsewhere, Canada's softball team defeated Mexico 3-2 to win the bronze medal.
