The country’s annual inflation rate peaked in the summer at 8.1 per cent and has been slowly decelerating since. In November, the annual inflation rate was 6.8 per cent. Meanwhile, Canadians saw some relief at the pump last month, paying 13.1 per cent less compared with November. Statistics Canada said the price of crude oil dropped amid concerns of a slowing global economy.

December’s deceleration was also offset by increases in mortgage interest costs, clothing and footwear, and personal care supplies and equipment.Article content

Canada’s annual inflation rate slowed to 6.3% in DecemberStatistics Canada says grocery prices continued to soar last month, but at a slightly slower pace, with prices up 11% compared to a year ago But food went up by 11% in December? People can't afford to live in Canada anymore. We don't get paid enough... and then lose a chunk of it to taxes. For the first time in my life... I'm afraid for the quality of life for the people of Canada. Not at the grocery store. Tropicana orange juice last week was $8 now its $10. Tell that to Loblaws....

Canada's annual inflation rate slowed to 6.3 per cent in DecemberJUST IN: Canada's annual inflation rate slowed to 6.3 per cent in December, Statistics Canada says Grocery prices continued to soar in December, but at a slightly slower pace, with prices up 11 per cent compared to a year ago If it were down to somewhere btw 1 & 2, numbers would be self-explanatory (problem solved). But now it is still 6+ given the hiking rate, reduced by just 0.5, how do you explain it? How would 0.5 change Canadians’ life? YAY gas went down which is NEVER reflected for consumers, but cost of living remains extortionately HIGH along with utilities and mortgages!! JustinTrudeau Destroying Canadians lives!!
