A new list by OpenTable shows the 100 "most beloved" Canadian restaurants in 2022, based on more than one million reviews. The restaurant reservation company says it analyzed reviews and ratings by diners who used its service from Oct.1, 2021, to Sept. 30, 2022. The list was determined by overall rating, user-based "klout," total number of reviews and regional overall rating.
“We’re seeing a strong interest in a variety of dining establishments and experiences this year, and strong representation from traditional continental to diverse international cuisines,” said Matt Davis, Country Director at OpenTable, in a news release. Ontario dominates the list with 49 restaurants, followed by Alberta with 23, British Columbia with 18, Quebec with nine and New Brunswick with one.1 Kitchen – Toronto, Ont.
Remember when the restaurant industry went through a phase where they refused to serve the unvaccinated as they were viewed as subhuman by society and the majority had no problem with this? Those sure were fun times.

Ontario dominates the top 100 'most beloved' restaurants in Canada for 2022Nearly 50 Ontario restaurants cracked this top 100 list for the best restaurants in Canada this year. I’m sure the restaurants are very good but for the most part I stopped dining out. The reason was I didn’t feel I was getting value for the dollars spent. It had nothing to do with the food, staff or affordability. Not interested in these expensive and valueless meals, give me a great hot open chicken, beef or hamburger sandwich with fries and lots of gravy for under $20.00 and I’m a happy satisfied person.

Ottawa restaurants are garbage. Highly priced, terrible quality and smaller portions. ohh.. and this was before pandemic and inflated prices btw Indian restaurants are specially terrible.
