Sadly this guy was given so many chances. Read his last court transcript warning from a Canadian judge about his nefarious business of drug trafficking. Now his life is on the line in a country that routinely executes drug traffickers.
I understand Mr Schellenberg has been convicted numerous times 4 drug smuggling. This time he and 2 others tried to smuggle 500 lbs of drugs from China to Aus. 1 other involved in this got life and 1 got a suspended death sentence. A prison term, IMO, is warranted.
I have no sympathy for drug pushers, dealers, and smugglers.

He allegedly trafficked 440lbs of meth. It wasn’t personal use. Meth is one hell of a drug (I am in recovery for it) that the alleged planned to move for profit. He knew the risks. While I am not for the death penalty, I sense it would beat being in a Chinese prison for yrs.
This guy made poor choices as such should be accountable for his actions.
