Buffalo Sabres trading Taylor Hall to Boston Bruins

What the Sabres are receiving was not immediately known.

Hall, who is joining his fourth team in the past two seasons, was by far the biggest name on the trade market ahead of Monday's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline. The 2018 Hart Trophy winner joined the Sabres on a one-year, $8-million contract last off-season but the deal did not work out for either side. The 29-year-old finishes his brief Sabres tenure with only two goals and 19 points in 37 games, along with a minus-21 rating which is tied for fourth-worst in the league.

Earlier on Sunday, the Bruins acquired veteran defenceman Mike Reilly from the Ottawa Senators for a third-round pick.
