The incident occurred at 13:04 of the third period of Boston’s Game 2 loss to the Islanders on Monday. The two were battling in front of the New York net when DeBrusk hit Mayfield with a cross-check in the back of the head. DeBrusk was not penalized on the play.breakaway goal.
