Brooks Orpik is starting a new chapter of his career with the Capitals. Details ⬇️

Orpik, who played 15 seasons between the Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins, will work with Washington’s defensive prospects, primarily in the American Hockey League.

“As a member of our team, Brooks was a tremendous leader and a great role model for our young players,” Capitals general manager Brian MacLellan said in a statement. “We are excited to be able to bring him back in this new role. We feel he will be a great resource for our hockey staff and our prospects.”The 38-year-old also represented the United States at the Winter Olympics in both 2010 and 2014.
