Two of the company’s planes have crashed in recent months, killing everyone on board.

said Sunday some of its 737 Max jetliners were accidentally delivered with one of the cockpits’ warning lights as an optional addition, rather than a standard feature of the new aircraft, and that the company knew for months before informing the Federal Aviation Administration.a warning light related to two sensors meant to determine a plane’s position in the sky was turned off in most 737 Max planes.

“Neither the angle of attack indicator nor the AOA Disagree alert are necessary for the safe operation of the airplane,” Boeing said in the statement. “They provide supplemental information only, and have never been considered safety features on commercial jet transport airplanes.”

He’s obviously worried he’ll say the wrong thing, so it’s better to have all comments scrubbed by an expert. I wonder if there’s more under the surface that they can’t keep a lid on.

Boeing did not tell airlines that safety alert was not onBoeing said Sunday that it discovered after airlines had been flying its 737 Max plane for several months that a safety alert in the cockpit was not working as intended, yet it didn't disclose that fact to airlines or federal regulators until after one of the planes crashed. Im not one for suing people but I really hope that the families of the victims go after the companies involved for obvious safety negligence If the sensor warning light didn’t affect safety and therefore no big deal that it didn’t work unless some optional software was also purchased then why bother making it a standard feature as part of the overall fix to the 737 max? Boeing has been negligent imo. If it’s Boeing. I am NOT going.

Boeing didn't tell airlines that safety alert wasn't onBoeing said Sunday that it discovered after airlines had been flying its 737 Max plane for several months that a safety alert in the cockpit was not working as intended, yet it didn't disclose that fact to airlines or federal regulators until after one of the planes crashed. “Other gauges tell pilots enough about the plane's speed, altitude, engine performance and other factors to fly safely, the company said.” Yeah, why doesn’t MCAS use the other inputs to double check before tipping nose down With Boeing safety is an option!!!!!
