Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer exited Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays with an apparent lower-body injury after attempting to catch a fly ball in the bottom of the second inning.

The three-time All-Star leaped near the centre-field wall to catch a ball hit by Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe before landing awkwardly. He was checked out by the training staff.

Springer finished the inning in the outfield before taking an at-bat in the top of the third and ultimately left the game afterward. When submitting content, please abide by our , and avoid posting profanity, personal attacks or harassment.
