Blue Jays place Jonathan Davis on paternity list and recall Santiago Espinal from triple-A.

Espinal will be active for the opener of the Blue Jays’ three-game set against the New York Yankees, which kicks off at 7:07 p.m. ET/4:07 p.m. PT on Sportsnet ONE or SN Now.Davis is slashing .147/.289/.

206 with one home run and four RBI across 83 plate appearances in 43 games.

This move needs to be permanent once Springer returns. Infield defense so important and Espinal best defensive player for Jays at 3rd base. They have enough offense, you can afford to play Espinal more.
