Blue Jays' Devon Travis out 4-6 weeks after undergoing knee surgery - Sportsnet.ca

will be out for four to six weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee, the team announced.

The 28-year-old has been limited to just two games and four at-bats in spring training due to knee inflammation.to this point, appearing in just 332 games over the course of four Major League seasons . He appeared in a career-high 103 games for Toronto in 2018, compiling a .232 average along with 11 home runs and 44 RBIs.

The club also announced that Mark Leiter Jr. will miss the 2018 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.

FAN590 I'd say make him a DH or just simply a pinch hitter, as he's always hurt. He either needs to change his training regimen or walk away.

Travis seems like a great guy, but things have not worked out in Toronto. The Jays new philosophy seems to be to paying players to work on other teams. Time has come for Jays to put this strategy back into action regarding Travis.
