The business has been at the forefront of providing Cape Breton's electronics for almost half a century — from car stereos to dealing telephones. In the 1980s, the store was the first Cantel telecommunications dealer in Cape Breton. Guardian Alarm & Security Systems was also a part of the business, but Bidart sold it two years ago. “There have been a lot of people over the years that have contributed to Soundafex being here for 45 years.”
