Belleville Senators fall short in shootout lost to the Marlies

Toronto Marlies vs Belleville Senators January 18, 2023 © Jana Chytilova/Freestyle PhotographyThe Belleville Senators earned a point the hard way Wednesday night rallying with two goals in the third period to force overtime. But that’s where the comeback ended as the Toronto Marlies pulled out a 6-5 shootout win over the B-Sens at CAA Arena.Angus Crookshank Cole Cassels and Kyle Betts with his first also scored for Belleville.

Coach Troy Mann said, “I thought we showed a lot of resilience to get that point. Any time you’re down by two with ten to play, it isn’t very encouraging in terms of getting two points. But I think we’ve done that all year in terms of sticking with it and being resilient.”The Senators and Marlies go again Friday night at 7:05 at the CAA Arena.

Let the oligarchs and billionaires chart our future. fpcomment oh please, other side of the coin...doing nothing leaves everything taxing us out of food & heat in place, to continue draining us through high bank rates & irresponsible legislation or continues on with the next gov. in power.
