The province is tightening up its documentation requirements, which means the small paper vaccine records, given out at the time people received their vaccines, are no longer accepted.

As part of B.C.’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, residents are required to show proof of vaccination to enter restaurants and various other recreational settings, and starting on Monday, the proof-of-vaccination requirements will be stricter.

“The transition period, which allowed people to present their paper record of immunization received at the time of their vaccination appointment, will end on Sept. 26,” reads a statement from the Ministry of Health. “We’re used to asking for ID and checking tickets and scanning tickets,” Lea said. “The first week, some people forgot that they had to do the process, but they were still vaccinated.”

I’m vaccinated. This is wrong. I refuse to apply for a passport. We cannot isolate a segment of the population. Use rapid testing. This is superior to proof of vaccination. The vaccinated can be asymptomatic carriers. Why the hysteria?

How many restaurants is this going to bankrupt? At least half

Boycott. It will result in businesses pushing back against politicians & their mandates. If you want argue safety and public health, then at the very least, allow citizens to provide covid antibody titers from natural infection as an alternative to proving vax status.

Still poke free

What about fully vaccinated ppl who travel to BC from other provinces?

Well I vote with my wallet and that means a lot of businesses will not be getting my money.

B.C has covid internment camps SHOULD be your lead story

So the Bill of Rights and Nuremberg Code mean nothing now. Following orders as an excuse won't save them.

A little slow, but better late than never. Now get Alberta and the remaining provinces to follow suit.

A just society means respect for the Charter of Rights and Freedoms of all citizens. Pushing people to get vaccinated and get passports will not stop infections and the spread of the virus. A constitutional challenge for govt and business.

Maybe BC should stop all those flights coming in from Wuhan instead. 😂

An easy web search and you can get fake 'passports'. Lol. No bar will check or has access to find out if it's real or not. Nor do they care. It's probably a wrong name as well on it. So a manhunt for a guy from the video camera of a bar? Hahahahahahaha

People have been allowed to prove their vaccination status in three ways, But come Monday, only the BC Vaccine Card will be accepted, as the province tightens up its documentation requirements

Martin Kulldorff, Prof. Harvard Medical School. 'Research showing natural immunity offers more protection than vaccines, and vaccine passes are both unscientific and discriminatory; they disproportionately affect working-class people'

As a consumer you have a choice to not spend your money at these establishments.

Yes please.

Disgusting

B.C. rejects recommendation to allow WorkSafeBC to make special payments to workers for its errorsThe B.C. government has rejected a call by the B.C. Ombudsperson to permit WorkSafeBC to voluntarily make payments to an injured worker for mistakes made by the provincial safety insurance agency. It never changes in British Columbia. Bureaucratic absurdity. What can be done about the mindset? “And the worker bears the loss — not the public body that erred, nor the government that established and preserved the legislative framework that prevents the public body from doing the right thing.” WorkSafeBC occupywsib
